Hi All,
Nice to see the forum back!!! After many happy holidays in Scala Potamia, we suffered some pretty bad luck last year.
My partner Pete had a mutliple aortic aneurism last April and was in hospital for five and a half months. Due to the severity of his illness he lost both legs and is now confined to a wheelchair.
Can anyone suggest accomodation in SP where disabled people are catered for?
It would be great if anyone who has a disabled family member who has travelled to Thassos can give any advice on any aspect of a holiday there, we would be most grateful.
We are well experienced in holidaying on the island for able bodied travellors but this is a whole new ball game!!!
Many thanks
Jane Bee

Hi Jane, sorry to hear about your husband's misfortune but pleased that you are both now in a position to be thinking about revisiting Thassos again.
Unfortunately there isn't much activity on here these days but lots of members are now in various Thassos groups on facebook and I'm sure you'd get some good advice there.

Hi Blackdog,
Thanks for your kind comments🙂
I will act on your advice and consult Facebook.
I know there are new hotels springing up all over where access might be much easier but we like the old Scala Potamia. It's just one of those things where you never think about level access until you find you need it!
Once again, many thanks for your reply and happy holidays.
Regards
Jane
