I thoroughly approve of the new facilities which come with this view. It used to be in the full glare of the sun and having to sun bath on the hot rocks and avoid the sea urchins when climbing out of the sea.

Thanks for the lovely photos, so I see you're thinking about your next visit too..... part of our hearts and souls always have and will be on this most beautiful island. But we knew that all along, didn't we?
Just makes you wonder why it took us so long to go back.

This has to be the grand daddy of all olive trees. Absolutely stunning, it is just below the entrance to Vigli at Golden Beach

Best time of day at Golden Beach, 7am when it is very quiet and peaceful.

I know, I know, how could I possibly compare a Frappe to a Mythos I can hear most of you say. However, you can't bet an ice cold Frappe to open both eyes and keep you going all day.

Apart from the Caribbean, I have never known birds to be so fearless of humans. This sparrow visited us every morning and evening to see what it could cadge from us. Also had an amazing aerial display early evening from our hotel balcony with Swifts swopping around and just missing the top of our balcony, catching insects and then diving to scoop water from the pool. Tried to get a photo but my camera not up to their speed.

My heart sunk, when I saw how busy Paradise has become. This really is the only view worth seeing now in high season. Will have to revisit it off season to regain some of the old magic.

At least Tripiti still has the same magic. I used to pinch a motorbike from Vasilis on my day off and head off to Tripiti to crash out and recover from the previous evenings BBQ, had to cook for up to 40 odd people so needed somewhere nice and quiet to recover.

This is what Tripiti is famous for, the sea rushes through on to the beach. They have spoilt it rather by putting the concrete break to it though.
